Connect Dexcom Share
Set up sharing first, then sign in on your Glucose Display with the wearer’s account.
Glucose Display is a secondary display. Follow your CGM manufacturer’s instructions and use your primary CGM app/device for treatment decisions and primary alerts.
What you need
- Current readings in the wearer’s Dexcom app.
- Dexcom Share enabled and an accepted follower invitation.
- A working internet connection for sharing and for the display.
Step-by-step setup
- Open the wearer’s Dexcom app and confirm the latest reading. Find Share / Connections and enable Share.
- Invite a follower and have them accept the invitation in Dexcom Follow. Confirm shared readings reach the follower.
- On Glucose Display, choose Connect to Dexcom Share, then US or Outside US to match the account.
- Choose Phone or Email/Username to match the wearer’s Dexcom login. Enter the wearer’s credentials on the display, add an optional display name, and select Log In.
Common problems
- No data: check Share is on and the follower invitation is accepted.
- Login rejected: check region and login type. Verify the wearer’s login with Dexcom; a follower login is different.
- Delayed readings: compare timestamps in the source and follower apps. Check source internet and background-data permissions.
- School or work Wi-Fi: test a trusted alternative network to isolate restrictions.
Do I need Dexcom Follow?
Use Follow to accept and check the sharing invitation during setup. Sign in on Glucose Display with the wearer’s Dexcom account, not the Follow account.
