Bedside Glucose Display (Night Checks Made Easier)

Bedside Glucose Display for Night Checks

If nights are the hardest part, a bedside display changes everything. Glucose Display is a dedicated, battery-powered CGM screen that keeps your glucose visible at a glance—so you can check the number and trend without constantly reaching for a phone.

Why bedside matters

  • Faster checks: glance at the screen instead of unlocking a phone
  • Less disruption: get what you need and go back to sleep
  • More context: recent readings + trend graph so you’re not guessing

What you’ll see

Glucose Display is designed to be readable from your bed:

  • Current glucose reading (large)
  • Trend arrow + recent trend context (recent readings)
  • Trend graphs (today and longer views)
  • Helpful stats for pattern spotting

Portable by design

Because it’s battery-powered, you can:

  • Keep it on the nightstand overnight
  • Move it to the kitchen in the morning
  • Bring it to your desk during the day

Our Story

In July of 2024, our daughter Madelyn was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 5 years old. Like many families facing this diagnosis, we were suddenly navigating an entirely new world — one filled with constant monitoring, sleepless nights, and the heavy weight of trying to get it all right.

We quickly realized how overwhelming it was to be tethered to our phones, checking glucose levels every few minutes just to feel in control. We needed something simpler — something always visible, without extra steps. That's when we reached out to Madelyn's uncle, a computer programmer, to see if this was something he could create. He understood the vision and helped bring the display to life.

The Glucose Display has since become a fixture in our home — literally. It sits on our living room mantle, showing us real-time Dexcom data at a glance, with insights for the past day, 3 days, and 3 weeks. It helps us act faster, understand patterns, and ultimately feel more confident in managing Madelyn's diabetes.

We created this display because we know we're not alone in this journey. If you're a parent, caregiver, or someone living with Type 1 diabetes, you understand the constant vigilance required. Our hope is that the Glucose Display brings you a little peace of mind and simplifies your daily routine, just as it has for our family.
